ABOUT
John is an Australian creative director, strategist, copywriter, and published author who has been connecting people through stories for over three decades.
He has worked inside agencies, in-house brand studios, and startups, earning a first-hand understanding of the realities that shape ambitious ideas.
John specialises in creating narrative systems that are built to scale—defining where they belong, how they connect, and how they earn trust by staying true to a brand’s DNA. His approach is experience-led and refreshingly honest. He listens deeply, creates a safe space for bold thinking, and offers an insightful and compassionate approach to problem-solving.
His career has taken him from renowned advertising agencies in Sydney to the in-house brand team at adidas AG in Germany, working with Porsche, BMW, Siemens, Parley for the Oceans, and Bugaboo along the way. In 2022, he co-founded Good Morning Studio where he now does some of the most meaningful work of his career — including global campaigns for Wilson, Roger Federer, and Polaroid.
John lives in Germany with his family, their cat, and a lingering sense of exhaustion he has accepted as a personality trait. He holds his face to the sun where possible, and has strong opinions about jar lids left half-closed.
In October 2026, HarperCollins will publish his first children’s picture book — proof, if any were needed, that storytelling is for everyone.
